MALAWI: Wendy Harawa Foundation Supports Tusaiwe Yana Community In Mzuzu

By Smile Hamilton
Malawian musician and founder of the Wendy Harawa Foundation, Wendy Favour Harawa, has shared her inspiring experience from a recent charity tour in Mzuzu.
The tour’s first stop was Tusaiwe Yana, where Wendy and her team were impressed by the remarkable work of a young girl dedicated to caring for children.
To support Tusaiwe Yana’s efforts, Wendy’s team donated 1 million kwacha, notebooks, and soap. Tusaiwe Yana is a thriving community that empowers individuals through education and support.
The village boasts a range of educational institutions, including nursery, primary, and secondary schools, providing a nurturing environment for children to grow and develop.
Construction of a college is also underway, which will cater to vulnerable populations such as special needs children, teen mothers, and orphans. Despite progress, much work remains to be done. The school building project is ongoing, and Wendy urges everyone to join her in supporting Tusaiwe Yana.
“Your donations can make a real difference in the lives of these precious children,” Wendy said. “Let’s come together to make a positive impact and touch their lives. Omwe Muli ndi kuthekela – let’s help shape their futures.”
