MALAWI: Vice President Michael Usi Eye Nigeria For Collaboration Towards Malawi’s Film Industry

Malawian Vice President Michael Usi has expressed his enthusiasm for the film industry, stating that it has the potential to create jobs and generate income for Malawians.
He believes that the industry can be leveraged to promote tourism, mining, and agriculture in the country.
Usi is particularly excited about collaborating with Nigerian filmmakers, including Charles Awurum, Nkiru Sylvanus, and Charles Inojie, to produce a movie titled “Malawi Virus.”
He hopes that this collaboration will help showcase Malawi’s talent and beauty to the world.
According to Usi, the film industry is a significant area of interest for him, and he plans to work tirelessly to promote it.
He believes that the industry has the potential to create employment opportunities and contribute to the country’s economic growth.
Usi met with the Nigerian filmmakers at Prophet Shepherd Bushiri’s birthday celebration, where they discussed potential collaboration opportunities.
He described the meeting as a fruitful one, stating that they shared a common vision for the film industry.
While “Malawi Virus” is just the beginning, Usi hopes to do more films and collaborate with other filmmakers in the future.
