Malawian Police have arrested six individuals suspected of theft and burglary in Jenda, Mzimba.
According to Jenda Police spokesperson, Macfarlen Mseteka, the suspects were found with various stolen items during a search operation on Wednesday and will face charges in court for burglary and theft.
He said the suspects, who are currently in police custody, will be taken to court once the paperwork is complete.
This arrest comes after a series of theft and burglary cases were reported in the area.
In a similar incident, a 20-year-old man was jailed for 12 years for burglary and theft in Mzimba.
Mseteka urged the public to cooperate with the police in combating crime, adding that the police are working to prevent future incidents and ensure public safety.
