The Presidential Debates Taskforce has commenced consultations with political parties regarding their participation in the upcoming debates.

The primary objective of the debates is to promote citizen engagement in the democratic process by offering candidates a platform to outline their vision and policies for the country.

These debates will also give Malawians an opportunity to interact with the candidates on critical national issues.

The taskforce is a non-partisan, multi-stakeholder committee made up of representatives from the media, government, civil society, and other relevant actors.
