In a historic event, the elders of the Namiwawa community in Blantyre, Malawi, in collaboration with the Lost History Foundation, have unveiled a monumental statue to honor the brave men and women who fought for the country’s freedom.
The statue is a symbol of tribute to the fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence.
According to Paliani Chinguwo, a representative of the Lost History Foundation, the statue serves as a reminder of the country’s rich history and the struggles of its people.
“We believe that the statue will help to heal the wounds of the past and provide a sense of closure for the families of the fallen heroes,” said Chinguwo.
The unveiling of the statue is also seen as a way of honoring the ancestors and seeking their blessings.
The community believes that the statue will help to appease the spirits of the fallen heroes and bring peace and prosperity to the nation.
Chinguwo said: “We believe that the statue will help to connect us with our ancestors and provide a sense of unity and purpose.”
The Lost History Foundation is committed to preserving the country’s history and culture.
The organisation believes that the statue is an important step in preserving the nation’s heritage and promoting national unity.
“We are committed to telling the story of our nation’s history and promoting national unity,” said Chinguwo.
The unveiling of the statue is a call to action for all Malawians to come together and celebrate their shared heritage.
The community is encouraged to visit the statue and pay their respects to the fallen heroes.
“We invite all Malawians to come and visit the statue and pay their respects to our ancestors,” said Chinguwo.
