The government has issued a stern warning, threatening to demolish structures built in unauthorized areas as part of a joint effort to restore order in land-related projects.
This move is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Lands and Local Government to tackle the widespread issue of illegal construction across the country.
Minister of Lands, Deus Gumba, emphasized that the laws will be strictly enforced, and those found violating them will face the consequences.
Gumba urged citizens to exercise caution when engaging in land transactions to avoid falling prey to fraudulent activities.
The government’s crackdown on illegal structures aims to promote transparency and accountability in land dealings, ensuring that developers and individuals comply with existing laws and regulations.
Gumba also warned that the government will not tolerate any form of corruption or bribery in land transactions.
He emphasized that the Ministry of Lands will work closely with law enforcement agencies to prosecute anyone found engaging in corrupt practices.
The move to demolish illegal structures is expected to restore order in the country’s land sector, which has been plagued by corruption and irregularities.
The government’s efforts are aimed at promoting sustainable development and ensuring that land is used for the benefit of all citizens.
