Malawi Girl Guides Association Takes Proactive Steps To Address Social Dislocation

The Malawi Girl Guides Association (Magga), has reaffirmed its commitment to addressing the challenges of social dislocation and its impact on youth.
At the close of a two-day seminar in Chilomoni, Blantyre, Magga Regional Commissioner for the South, Charity Kafasalire, emphasised the importance of open discussions and education in guiding the nation’s youth towards healthier and more informed choices.
Kafasalire noted that Magga plays a pivotal role in guiding the nation’s youth towards better choices. “Our goal is to encourage conversations between generations about the effects of drug and substance abuse, not only for the youth but for the community as a whole,” she said.
The seminar, which attracted over 80 participants, including members of youth clubs, community leaders, police officers, and other stakeholders, was a testament to Magga’s commitment to creating positive change.
