By Utebor Paul, Nigeria
Popular comedian and social activist, Adebowale Debo Adedayo also known as Mr. Macaroni, has called on Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to address the deteriorating state of roads in Lagos.
Taking to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Mr. Macaroni directed his concerns at Governor Sanwo-Olu, pointing out that while the governor had recently been preoccupied with welcoming President Bola Tinubu from an international trip at Abuja Airport, he should consider prioritising the urgent need for road maintenance in Lagos.
Mr Macaroni lamented the prevalence of potholes across Lagos roads, attributing these conditions to frequent accidents that pose risks to lives and property. He urged the governor to take a firsthand look by touring the city to observe the condition of the roads, emphasising the need for improvements to ensure residents’ safety.
In his post, he stated, “There are potholes on the roads causing accidents that are capable of destroying lives and properties. Do better.”
