Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that star forward Kylian Mbappé will miss the team’s La Liga encounter against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday but will travel with the squad to Doha for the Intercontinental Cup.
Addressing reporters on Friday, Ancelotti stated, “Kylian Mbappé will NOT play tomorrow… but he will travel for the Intercontinental Cup in Doha. We will see if he plays. We will see.” The Frenchman’s absence is a blow for Los Blancos, but fans will be hopeful he returns in time for the international competition.
In a boost for the squad, midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has been declared fit and is ready to feature in Saturday’s match.
“Eduardo Camavinga is back. He’s fit and ready to play tomorrow,” Ancelotti confirmed, raising expectations for the Frenchman’s impact on the game.
Ancelotti also took the opportunity to laud Brazilian forward Vinicius Jr., describing him as the best in the world and highlighting his humility despite his exceptional talent.
“For us, Vinicius Jr. continues to be the best in the world,” the Italian coach said. “He’s always there with enormous humility, which is not usual for a player of his level. But the level he is at does not surprise us.”
Real Madrid will face Rayo Vallecano on Saturday at 9 PM Nigerian time as they aim to maintain their strong position in the La Liga standings. With Camavinga’s return and Ancelotti’s praise for Vinicius Jr., fans are optimistic about the team’s prospects, even with Mbappé unavailable for the fixture.
