Kenyan President, William Ruto, has arrived in Berlin, Germany, for a two-day visit to attend the Annual Citizens Festival on the invitation of the German President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
The Kenya Airways plane carrying President Ruto and his escort, touched down at the Berlin International Airport Military Wing 11:49 am Kenya time on Friday.
Ruto was accompanied by Kenyan First Lady, Mama Rachel Ruto among other officials.
The President was received by Germany’s Chief of Protocol, Fr Gasser and Kenya’s Ambassador to Germany, Stella Orina for the Annual Citizens Festival, Bundeslang.
President Ruto attended the’’burger fest’’ festival where Kenya was honored as the official partner country. This marked a cultural milestone as Kenya became the first non-European country to hold this role, providing a platform to showcase its cultural heritage.
The visit also aims to enhance trade and investment opportunities, particularly in sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, tourism and the creative economy
He also thanked Governor Sule for accompanying Dangote during the visit and for his support in these challenging times.
