KENYA:Five Quarry Workers Killed By Suspected Al-Shabaab Militants In Mandera

In a tragic incident in Mandera East, five quarry workers were killed and two others sustained serious injuries due to an attack by gunmen believed to be associated with Al-Shabaab.
The assault occurred on Tuesday morning at a quarry site in Bur Abor Village, shortly after the workers arrived around 7 a.m.
The attackers surrounded the workers’ vehicle and opened fire.
Out of a total of 32 workers on site, 25 managed to escape unharmed, while five individuals were shot and killed, and two were left with critical injuries.
Mandera County Commissioner Henry Ochako has confirmed the details of the attack.
