Kenya Sees Decrease In Fuel Prices, Petrol Down By Ksh.1.95, Diesel Ksh.2.20

In a recent review by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA), fuel prices in Kenya have been adjusted downward.
Effective April 15 through May 14, the price of super petrol will drop by Ksh.1.95 to Ksh.174.63 per litre in Nairobi, while diesel will decrease by Ksh.2.20, bringing it to Ksh.164.86 per litre. Kerosene will also see a reduction of Ksh.2.40, now costing Ksh.148.99 per litre in the capital.
In Mombasa, the new prices are set at Ksh.171.39 for super petrol, Ksh.161.62 for diesel, and Ksh.145.75 for kerosene.
Meanwhile, in Kisumu, residents will pay Ksh.174.67 for super petrol, Ksh.165.24 for diesel, and Ksh.149.42 for kerosene.
EPRA Director-General Daniel Bargoria noted that the average landed cost of imported super petrol fell by 4.89%, from US$637.22 per cubic metre in February to US$606.06 in March. Diesel prices dropped by 6.45%, while kerosene saw a decrease of 6.53% in the same period.
