KENYA: Ruto Leads Nation in Honouring Kenya Defence Forces on KDF Day

President William Ruto on Tuesday, led the nation in marking Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) Day in Eldoret, paying tribute to the men and women who serve with courage and dedication in defence of the country.

As Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, President Ruto hailed KDF personnel for their selfless service both at home and abroad, describing them as “the true guardians of our nation’s peace and sovereignty.”
“From the rugged terrain of our homeland to the distant lands of Somalia, our soldiers have demonstrated unwavering commitment, courage, and sacrifice. Their bravery is a beacon of hope that inspires us all,” President Ruto said.
The Head of State led top military officials, government leaders, and families of fallen heroes in honouring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
He reaffirmed the government’s continued support for KDF operations, veterans, and families of fallen soldiers, noting that their legacy “will forever be etched in the nation’s history.”
