KENYA: Pritty Vishy Opens Up On Struggles After Cosmetic Surgery

Kenyan social media personality Purity Vishenwa, popularly known as Pritty Vishy, has spoken candidly about the difficulties she has faced while recovering from multiple cosmetic procedures.

In a recent YouTube video, with excerpts shared on Instagram, Vishy revealed she had undergone a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), tummy tuck, and liposuction. She filmed the process from the operating room to her current recovery stage.

Although happy with the physical transformation, she described the healing process as extremely challenging. Only two days after being discharged, she returned to the hospital due to severe abdominal swelling and discomfort.

Doctors diagnosed her with edema, a fluid build-up in body tissues affecting her stomach and legs.

Clips she shared showed her in a hospital gown with bandaged legs and later kneeling on a mattress at home because she was unable to sit or lie on her stomach. She said even laughing or coughing caused intense pain.

Vishy urged those considering similar surgeries to prepare mentally, saying the operation itself is a small portion of the journey compared to the demands of recovery.

She also noted that post-surgery massages were particularly painful.

A BBL involves extracting fat from specific areas through liposuction, purifying it, and injecting it into the buttocks for enhancement.

Experts warn it carries risks if not performed by a qualified surgeon, with recovery often lasting several weeks.
