President William Ruto has departed for an official tour of Central Africa, with Angola confirmed as his first stop, State House announced on Monday.
According to State House spokesperson Hussein Mohammed, the President will attend the 7th African Union–European Union Summit and lead the Summit session of the Ad Hoc Oversight Committee on African Union Institutional Reform, where he serves as chair.
Ruto is also expected to hold bilateral talks with European leaders focused on trade, investment opportunities, and the progress of the Kenya–EU Economic Partnership Agreement.
“President William Ruto departs this afternoon for Luanda, Angola, for two key engagements: the 7th African Union–European Union Summit and the Second Session of the Ad Hoc Oversight Committee on African Union Institutional Reform, which he will chair as the AU Champion for Institutional Reform,” Hussein Confirmed.
