Kenyan President William Ruto on Thursday delivered the State of the Nation Address in Parliament, Nairobi, where he submitted three constitutionally-mandated reports: All Measures Taken and Progress Achieved in the Realisation of National Values, the Report on the Progress Made in Fulfilling International Obligations of the Republic, and the Report on the State of Security.

In his address, the President said the government had secured the economy, noting that inflation had been tamed, the shilling stabilised, and foreign investment expanded. He outlined improvements across agriculture, health, education, and housing, saying these gains were the result of deliberate reforms undertaken over the past year.

To strengthen long-term development, President Ruto announced plans to establish a National Infrastructure Fund and a Sovereign Wealth Fund, which he said will secure sustainable financing for transformative projects.
“We have stabilised our economy and laid a firm foundation for shared prosperity. These funds will ensure our bold plan succeeds,” he said.
The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to prudent management, economic resilience and enhanced service delivery as Parliament begins to consider the submitted reports.
