Kenyan Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, has announced that Monday, will be a public holiday in Kenya to commemorate Eid-ul-Fitr.
The declaration was made through a gazette notice issued on Friday, citing the Public Holidays Act as the legal basis for the decision.
“It is hereby declared that Monday, March 31, 2025, will be a public holiday to mark Eid-ul-Fitr,” the notice stated.
Eid-ul-Fitr, also known as the “Festival of Breaking the Fast,” is a significant celebration for Muslims worldwide, marking the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan, a period of fasting, prayer, and reflection.
