KENYA: Men Disguised As Women Offering ‘Relaxing Massage’ Arrested For Robbing Client Of Ksh. 280,000

By Lisbeth micheni Kenya
Two individuals impersonating female masseuses were detained by law enforcement after being accused of stealing Ksh.280,000 from a client during a massage session.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) reported that Alex Mugo Wachira and Simon Chomba Mbogo had been advertising themselves online as attractive women providing professional massage services.
According to the victim’s account at the Kasarani Police Station, the deceptive advertisement prompted him to visit the massage parlor located on Lumumba Drive, where he was subsequently robbed.
The report revealed that shortly after the massage began, the situation escalated dramatically. The suspects brandished knives, exposing their authentic identities and lack of any massage skills.
Under threat, the victim was coerced into transferring Ksh.280,000 to the suspects’ mobile phone before they forcibly evicted him from the premises.
The suspects were later apprehended in a location near Kamiti prison, likely using the stolen funds. They will remain in police custody while awaiting their court appearance.
