President William Ruto has said Kenya is strengthening its defence forces through advanced training, cutting-edge research, and modern technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, to keep the country ahead of emerging security threats.

Speaking in Lanet, Nakuru County, where he presided over the third graduation ceremony of the National Defence University, Kenya, the President said the investment ensures that Kenya’s military remains agile, capable, and ready to confront fast-evolving challenges.
He noted that institutions like the NDU-K are central to Kenya’s security preparedness, adding: “This investment equips our men and women in uniform to tackle complex challenges with confidence and precision.”
President Ruto congratulated the Class of 2025, urging them to apply strategic and critical thinking as they take up leadership roles in safeguarding the country.
