Manchester United’s emphatic 4-0 triumph over Everton on Sunday was marred by a troubling injury scare for midfield maestro Bruno Fernandes, casting doubt over his availability for the pivotal midweek clash against Arsenal.

Fernandes, the heartbeat of United’s attacking play, dazzled at Old Trafford, setting up two goals as Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee bagged braces to secure Ruben Amorim’s first Premier League win as United manager.

United’s talisman once attributed his resilience to strong family support. “I just have to be grateful for my father and my mum because they made me the right way, the strong way. My wife does a great job at home to give me as much rest as I can. It’s difficult when you have two kids at home, but I get my rest, my naps, everything I need, because she’s there to help me,” Fernandes said in March.

The injury scare overshadows a dominant performance by United, who have shown promising form under Amorim. The Everton victory follows a solid 1-1 draw with Ipswich and a 3-2 win over Bodo/Glimt earlier in November.
