Flames Coach Confident Ahead of World Cup Qualifier Against Tunisia

By Smile Hamilton, Malawi
Flames coach Kalisto Pasuwa has expressed confidence in his team’s preparedness for the upcoming 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Tunisia, scheduled to take place at Stade Olympique Hammadi Agrebi in Tunis, Tunisia, tomorrow.
Pasuwa’s charges are eager to bounce back from their disappointing 1-0 loss to Namibia at Bingu National Stadium last Thursday. A win against Tunisia would be a significant boost to their qualifying campaign.
The Flames currently occupy fourth place in the standings with six points from five matches. In contrast, Tunisia leads the pack with an impressive 13 points from the same number of matches. Despite the daunting task ahead, Pasuwa remains optimistic about his team’s chances.
The Flames’ performance in the qualifier has been a mixed bag so far. However, with a win against Tunisia, they can revive their hopes of advancing to the next stage of the competition. Pasuwa will be counting on his players to rise to the occasion and deliver a convincing performance against the group leaders.
As the Flames prepare to face Tunisia, Pasuwa’s emphasis on his team’s readiness is a clear indication of their determination to succeed. With the right mindset and strategy, the Flames can potentially pull off an upset and claim a crucial victory in their World Cup qualifying campaign.
