Prominent Nigerian disc jockey, Nonso Temisan Ajufo, also known as DJ Big N, has addressed rumours circulating on social media regarding music producer, Michael Collins Ajereh, also known as Don Jazzy and crossdresser, Okuneye Idris Olarenwaju, popularly called Bobrisky.
Recall that there have been several allegations flying on social media claiming that most of the big celebrities in the entertainment industry are gay.
In a statement on social media yesterday, DJ Big N clarified the situation, urging the public to avoid misinterpreting acts of kindness.
Speaking on the issue, DJ Big N emphasised that Don Jazzy has never met or communicated with Bobrisky. “I can 100% tell you that Don Jazzy has never met Bobrisky before. He has never spoken to him, doesn’t have his number, and Bobrisky doesn’t have his,” DJ Big N stated.
According to him, a mutual friend of Bobrisky reached out to Don Jazzy to raise funds after Bobrisky’s release from jail, and Don Jazzy, out of goodwill, made a donation. He highlighted that Don Jazzy has helped countless people anonymously, a fact that often goes unnoticed.
Regarding Oluwa Dollars, DJ Big N disclosed that he personally introduced him and his brother to Don Jazzy. He clarified that there is no animosity between the parties involved.
DJ Big N further commented on the growing narrative that success in the music industry is often tied to sexual favours, particularly between artists and label executives.
He expressed Don Jazzy’s determination to expose such behaviours, while also cautioning the public to be mindful of individuals who may fabricate stories to gain attention or promote music. He noted that a new song was released shortly after the controversy surfaced.
In his closing remarks, DJ Big N urged people to think critically before jumping to conclusions. “Sometimes, make we Dey use our head think. It’s not only for headbutting people,” he advised
