Christmas Festivity: South Sudanese Youths Welcomes The Festive Season With Wrestling Match

The South Sudanese youths have welcomed the Christmas festive season with a wrestling match that took place in Bor town, at John Garang de Mabior field.
The match took place between Bor county and Yirol county, where each wrestler is given about three minutes to wrestle his counterpart.
About 21 wrestlers participated in the game, making Bor county victorious over Yirol county with 9-3 points.
Makuei Matiop Agut emerged as the man of the hour after winning against Makhat Anhiem from Yirol county.
As the most adored leisure activity in South Sudan, the citizens poured out their excitement pledging sums of money and cattles to wrestlers from both counties.
However, the head of the South Sudan wrestling association who also graced the event, narrated the importance of having the match between the two communities.
He said: “It will create a platform for peaceful activities among the two states, so that they can mingle and prepare for a national match that is likely to take place next year in 2025.”
