Charles Oputa, a singer and activist known as Charly Boy, has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for purchasing a Cadillac Escalade despite hardship faced by Nigerians.
Recalled president Tinubu departed Nigeria for Equatorial Guinea in a Cadillac Escalade recently, reacting to this, Charly Boy pointed out that, unlike his predecessors who used the Mercedes Maybach S Class, Tinubu opted for an armored Cadillac Escalade, which was reportedly purchased for ₦995,015,000.
Charly Boy mocked the All-Progressive Congress (APC)-led government for asking Nigerians to endure the severe hunger and hardship while the President rides in luxury.
He wrote: “This the new Presidential Car, Like the one wey American President dey use. Armored Cadillac Escalade bought at N995,015,000(N5m short of N1b) while Previous Presidents used Mercedes Maybach S Class.
“Yet APC yahoo yahoo runners want Nigerians to endure biting hunger and hardship. We dey look una dey take notes. Una well done ooo. Nonsense Dia fathers.
