Charles Okocha Opens Up on Seven-Year Relationship and Upcoming Marriage

Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha, popularly known as Mr. Phenomenal, has finally revealed the reason behind keeping his relationship with his bride under wraps for seven years.

In an exclusive interview with Sunday Scoop, the actor disclosed that he and his fiancée have been in a secret relationship since 2017, a decision he says was a natural progression at this stage of his life.

“I am getting married because it’s only right for me to settle down at this point,” Okocha explained. “We have been together quietly since 2017, with no social media display of affection. She lives in the United States, and she’s a nurse. So, yes, it’s true,” he added.

The actor, who is also a father of two, reflected on his past experiences, particularly his time as a “baby daddy,” saying that the time had come for him to make a more committed decision. When asked about his children’s reaction to the news of his marriage, Okocha revealed that his kids were “very comfortable and happy” with the development.

The actor surprised his fans when he shared the news of his impending marriage on Instagram on November 5, 2024, posting pictures of himself with his fiancée.

In a further development, the couple held their traditional wedding ceremony on Saturday, November 9, 2024, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their relationship.
