BREAKING: Unilorin To Graduate 11,886 Students As 316 Earn First Class Degrees

The University of Ilorin has announced that a total of 11,886 students will be graduating during its 40th convocation ceremony.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Wahab Egbewole, made this known on Monday during a press briefing held at the university.
He explained that among the graduating students, 316 will receive First Class honours, while 4,120 earned Second Class Upper Division and 5,939 obtained Second Class Lower Division.
A total of 1,078 students will graduate with Third Class degrees, and 11 students with a Pass.
Professor Egbewole also disclosed that the ceremony will feature the graduation of professional degree holders, including 175 in Medicine, 94 in Nursing, 40 in Optometry, 36 in Veterinary Medicine, and 64 in Physiotherapy.
In addition, 13 students will be awarded Diplomas.
He commended the graduating students for their hard work and perseverance, describing their academic success as a reflection of the institution’s commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and community service.
The convocation, according to the Vice Chancellor, will also serve as an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the university in maintaining its reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading institutions of higher learning.
