President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Princess Zahrah Audu as the new Director General of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC).
Princess Zahrah, the wife of Prince Mustapha Mona Audu and daughter-in-law of the late Prince Abubakar Audu, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve in such a significant role, describing it as a great honor and privilege.
In her acceptance statement, she extended appreciation to Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima for nominating her for the position and to Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, for his support and guidance.
She also thanked the Minister of Trade and Investment for endorsing her nomination and praised the collaborative efforts of the Office of the Vice President team.
On a personal level, Princess Zahrah acknowledged the steadfast support of her husband and children, expressing deep gratitude for their sacrifices and encouragement, which she said have been invaluable throughout her journey.
She affirmed her commitment to the vision of President Tinubu and pledged to work diligently to advance PEBEC’s mandate, ensuring the council continues to foster a conducive business environment in Nigeria.
PEBEC, established in 2016, is tasked with removing barriers to business operations in Nigeria while enhancing the country’s reputation as a favorable destination for investment.
Under Princess Zahrah’s leadership, the council is expected to build on its existing reforms and drive impactful policies that will further improve the ease of doing business in Nigeria.
Her appointment is widely seen as a move to bring renewed energy and vision to the council’s operations, ensuring its alignment with the administration’s broader goals of economic growth and development.
