Kenya Primary School Education Assessment Results To Be Released Tomorrow – Education Cabinet Secretary
By Lisbeth Micheni, Kenya
Education Cabinet Secretary, Julius Ogamba has announced that the results of the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) will be released on Monday.
The much-anticipated announcement comes as students, parents, and schools across the country await the results of the nationwide assessment.
Speaking during a press briefing at the Ministry of Education headquarters, Ogamba assured the public that the assessment process was conducted with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
He stated: “We are proud to confirm that the KPSEA results will be officially released tomorrow. This is a significant milestone in our education system as we continue to implement the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) framework.”
The KPSEA, introduced as part of the CBC, replaces the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and focuses on assessing learners’ competencies rather than solely academic performance.
The results are a key factor in determining students’ placement in junior secondary schools.
Ogamba emphasised the government’s commitment to ensuring a smooth transition for all learners, particularly as the CBC faces scrutiny and debate among stakeholders.
He also encouraged parents to support their children regardless of the outcome, highlighting the ministry’s ongoing efforts to provide opportunities for all learners.
“The results should be viewed as a reflection of our learners’ progress and potential.
Every child has unique strengths, and we urge parents to celebrate these achievements with their children,” Ogamba said.
The results will be accessible through online portals and Short Message Services, with the Ministry promising to release further instructions tomorrow morning.
As anticipation builds, education stakeholders have commended the Ministry for its transparency and timely communication regarding the release of the results.
Many have expressed hope that the KPSEA will further strengthen the education system and provide a clear pathway for Kenya’s future generations.
Parents and students across the country now eagerly await tomorrow’s announcement, marking an important step in Kenya’s education reforms.
